Originally established as Treasured Memories in St Mary Street in Weymouth that specialised in nautical collectables and antiques, we found that very substantial numbers of our customers were buying the nautical and maritime pictures that we stocked, getting us to frame them and then bringing all types of pictures to us for that special touch!
Following the closure of the shop in 2006 – due to escalating rent and rates – we decided to make life easier for our customers so we went MOBILE!
It is really quite astonishing the difference a good frame makes to a picture, let us show you.You can so easily ruin the image by placing it into a frame that is mass produced (probably of plastic or resin) and “about” the right size.
So much more professional is the result achieved by having bespoke framing on a picture.
Whether you have a print, watercolour, acrylic or oil (all of which need slightly different processes) a professional mount and frame will bring a piece of art to life and really look beautiful.
We hand make our frames on our premises (not like so many outlets who send it away to a contractor) and you can choose from literally hundreds and hundreds of different mouldings and mounts.
By that we mean we come to you - up to a 15 mile radius of Dorchester - make an appointment for us to call on you to discuss mouldings, mounts and glass and provide you with a firm price – if you agree to our figure we then take your print/photo/oil etc away and frame it – returning it ready to hang in just a few days (subject to stock availability)
We carry out framing for artists, galleries, trade suppliers along with private buyers and we know our charges are among the lowest in the area.
