SPECIALISED FRAMING

Sometimes referred to as “box framing” or “deep framing” is designed for framing items such as medals, spoon collections, football or rugby shirts or similar items that need depth to the frame.

These frames are labour intensive but the end result is really quite stunning as can be seen from the picture of the Chelsea shirt shown here.

These frames comprise the outer moulding, glass, a “mask” border, a “box” construction fully lined to top, bottom, sides and back with a matching mountboard and then are fully sealed. It is especially important when framing shirts to ensure the frame is airtight to avoid any possibility of mould or moth in years to come.
